About Vinoj
Vinoj Zacharia was born in Kuwait, but moved to New York when he was six years old. In tenth grade, a girl he had a crush on came into his class and mentioned an audition for Bye Bye Birdie, which she would be part of. He decided to give it a shot, if nothing else to see her after school (don’t worry, he didn’t have a chance with her). It would be a key turning point, as he fell in love with acting on the spot and has been acting ever since.
Vinoj then moved to Oklahoma where at Norman High School he got involved with the drama team, won regularly at acting competitions throughout the state, and was one of three actors in the State Championship winning One-Act, The Indian Wants the Bronx. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, garnering a bachelor’s degree in Theater, while acting and producing various plays and acting in local commercials and short films.
